'New' Isuzu mu-X to enter PH market this week

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) will introduce the latest iteration of the mu-X within the month.

Based on its announcement, the sport utility vehicle’s newest version is set to be revealed on April 4. “With a refreshed bold and luxurious design, the latest edition of Isuzu’s flagship SUV promises enhanced features that elevate both style and functionality,” the company shared.

"We are excited to introduce the new 2025 Isuzu mu-X to the Philippine market. We know how much Filipino families love their mu-X, and this latest version is our best yet - offering the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and 5-Star safety for both families and business professionals,” IPC Vice President for Sales Toshihiko Kojima shared.

No details were shared at the time of publishing, but here are its possible specifications as seen in neighboring market Thailand.

In the Land of Smiles, the Isuzu mu-X has the following measurements:

• Nine-inch touchscreen with Wireless Android Auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity-mated to an eight-speaker set-up

Under the hood of the new Isuzu SUV is the new 2.2-liter or the reliable 3.0-liter diesel engine that can dish out peak outputs of:

To note, the outgoing version in the country is equipped with the 1.9-liter RZ4E engine instead of the aforementioned 2.2-liter RZ4F.

Instead of the six-speed automatic, the said mills are mated to an eight-speed automatic revtronic gearbox.
