Nissan debuts all-new Kicks e-Power in Thailand

MANILA: Nissan has presented the all-new Kicks e-Power in Thailand at the ongoing 47th edition of the Bangkok International Motor Show.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What powers the all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power?

    The crossover uses a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 2.06-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.
  • How much power does it make?

It makes 134 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque.
  • The latest iteration of the crossover boasts a bold design with innovative features, all while retaining its award-winning e-Power technology, and ProPilot advanced driver assistance system.

“Today is a proud milestone for Nissan. We introduce our fourth e-Power model. This time, it is engineered and produced here in Thailand. This shows our strong belief in local manufacturing, and our focus on customers in Thailand and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). Built for people with an urban lifestyle, the All-New Nissan Kicks e-Power empowers drivers to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment,” Nissan Thailand and ASEAN President Toshihiro Fujiki was quoted as saying.

    Exterior

Outside, the all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power flaunts a bold, modern design language that blends sharp styling with a stronger sense of agility and premium appeal. Per the carmaker, it reflects a youthful, energetic character — hopefully connecting with its younger target market.

At the fore is the Japanese marque’s signature V-Motion grille that looks more modern with a three-dimensional design.

The meshwork, which reinforces the vehicle’s confident road presence, is flanked by a modernized lighting signature with slim upper beam headlamps to deliver enhanced illumination to improve visibility and driving confidence.

Distinctive three-arrow separated daytime running lights add a sharp, contemporary accent, while tough lower fascia, pronounced fenders, and higher hood corners emphasize a bold, protective stance.

At the back, the all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power gets a straight parting line and an uncluttered rear panel. Completing the look are the iconic hexagon-shaped rear lamps, creating a distinctive nighttime signature and a recognizable identity on the road.

    Other stories:

    Interior

The cabin of the all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power features a large 12.3-inch high-resolution infotainment display at the center. It is complemented by a seven-inch thin-film transistor digital instrument cluster with a digital speedometer.

Its central screen is equipped with the NissanConnect system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. For added convenience, it has a wireless charger at the console.

Speaking of which, the front console, center console, door panels, and steering wheel are newly designed. The latter is swathed with synthetic leather, as well as the enhanced ergonomic Zero Gravity seats — designed to reduce fatigue on long journeys or in heavy traffic.

Other notable interior amenities include a center armrest with dual cup holders, the intelligent rearview mirror, and a spacious 423-liter trunk for when owners need to load cargo on weekend trips.

    e-Power technology

The all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power retains the tried and tested hybrid system that is composed of a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a 2.06-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.

As a result, the setup makes approximately 134 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque.

Driving enjoyment is enhanced by Nissan’s unique e‑Pedal Step.

    ProPilot system

On top of the Nissan 360˚ Safety Shield technology, the all-new crossover is able to provide safer rides with the ProPilot system, which is essentially intelligent cruise control with integrated lane keeping assist to keep the vehicle centered in its lane while maintaining a preset speed and safe distance from the vehicle ahead.

The Nissan ProPilot makes its debut in Thailand through the all-new Kicks e-Power.

    Variants

The all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power is available in Thailand in three variants: V, VL, and SV.
