Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign to launch in limited numbers

MANILA: Nissan has finally revealed the GT-R50 by Italdesign in flesh at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed. It has also been announced that a production version of the car might be created, given the company receives a good reception for the car at Goodwood and other global appearances. This limited edition car will have 50 units built by Italdesign and each of them are going to be tailored according to the customer’s requirement.

The first look of GT-R50 by Italdesign was released by Nissan a few weeks ago via image renderings. This specially crafted car is built in collaboration with Nissan and Italdesign. The GT-R50 by Italdesign also marks as the 50 year anniversary of GT-R and the Italian design firm. This limited edition car has been described as a ‘GT-R without limits’.

The exterior design of GT-R50 by Italdesign has been termed as futuristic by experts. The style of this limited edition car seems to resemble with the Nissan 2020 Vision Gran Turismo Concept, especially the rear end. The front, however, has been infused with unique LED headlights which carry a sleeker and longer design.

The engine of Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign comes with a 3.8-litre twin turbo VR38. This powerful engine produces 710 PS and 780 Nm, as they are paired with GT3-spec turbos, large intercoolers as well as reworked internals. With a futuristic design and a powerful engine, the starting price of the car has been tagged at €900,000 (Php 63,440,000).
