Nissan Philippines Achieves The Biggest Sales Number Ever In June 2016

MANILA: Better late than never! The renowned Japanese automaker, Nissan, has finally announced its sales report for June 2016. The company, while announcing this report, mentioned that this month has been the best month ever in terms of sales since the company landed in the Philippines around 3 years ago. Nissan Philippines has seen a couple of ups and downs during the first half of 2016 and so this achievement is indeed a big reason to rejoice the overcome. In July 2016, Nissan Philippines issued a recall notification for 6 of its models over Takata airbags issue, which brought some dissatisfaction among the Nissan loyals. But, since there were no fatal injuries reported due to this fault and the recall was a precautionary measure, taken pro-actively by the Japanese brand, the customers were satisfied.

Though Nissan Philippines was unable to make it to any of the top brands' list released by CAMPI during the first half 2016, including the one depicting the leaders in regards to sales, the company has achieved good sales numbers as an individual during this tenure. In June 2016, the total sales announced by Nissan Philippines was 1,621 units which is the biggest sales number ever attained by the brand in the Philippines in any month. This data, however, failed to put Nissan on the list of top 5 brands in terms of sales in June 2016 but grabbed a market share worth 4.9 percent in the said month. Surely, that's a big motivation for the company which was trying to capture a significant chunk in the pie.

Nissan is indeed very excited and revealed the champions of its fleet which have made them this big in the Philippines automotive market. The credit has been shared by Nissan Navara with 341 units, Almera with 292 units and NV350 Urvan with 681 units sold in June 2016. The President and Managing Director of Nissan Philippines said, “Urvan and Almera are greatly in demand, mainly because of their roominess, refreshing design, and competitive fuel economy. While the multi-award winning Navara pick-up truck provides the toughness of an SUV, yet offers the comfort of a sedan with its seat cushions that adjust to your unique pressure points which make it a total car package”.

Other than sales, the company has always given equal importance to the service also, which eventually helped in achieving this success. In July 2016, Nissan Philippines initiated 24 hours Roadside Assistance to assist the customers when their Nissan cars stuck in between the roads.
