Here’s what Nissan X-Trail NISMO buyers will get upon the turnover of their orders.
Aesthetics
In terms of exterior design, the Nissan X-Trail NISMO boasts motorsport- and performance-oriented styling.
Its notable portions are:
- Horizontal sweeping dark chrome accents above the front grille
- Front NISMO under spoiler
- Red-accented side skirts
- Racing-inspired rear fog lamps and diffuser-shaped lower edge
These design elements reduced the lift by 29 percent compared to the base model.
Inside the cabin is a mix of black-colored portions and red accents.
NISMO-tuned Recaro sports seats (with power reclining mechanism and heating functions) are available in the Nissan X-Trail NISMO — but only as an option.
Performance
Expected to be a canyon carver, the vehicle is equipped with an e-4ORCE electric-drive all-wheel control technology that is specifically tuned for the X-Trail NISMO that boosts rear-wheel drive distribution and controls the front tires for directional turning.
The vehicle’s acceleration characteristics and front-rear drive distribution are also tuned for each drive mode — providing an enjoyable driving experience in a wide variety of driving conditions.
Complementing this is its suspension system made up of Kayaba Swing Valve shock absorbers (first for Nissan). With it, drivers will enjoy reduced body motion — a known challenge for high-riding SUV units — while ensuring ride comfort.
Performance is further maximized thanks to its 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires that improve steering response.
Aside from that, the Nissan X-Trail NISMO features a specially-tweaked vehicle control module that has “Sport” (which prioritizes responsiveness) and “Auto modes (for mid- to high-range acceleration).
Per Nissan, sales of the X-Trail NISMO will start on September 24 in Japan.
