Over 150 Ford PH employees take part in CSR activities for Global Caring Month

MANILA: Ford Philippines celebrated Global Caring Month last September with charitable activities participated by over 150 employees, resulting in over 1,260 volunteer hours.

Employees of Ford Philippines and Ford Iloilo engaged in farm produce packing and donation activities, which the company organized in partnership with the Gawad Kalinga (GK) Foundation. Baskets of fresh vegetables were given to over 800 households in GK villages in Metro Manila and Lambunao, Iloilo to help improve their nutrition and wellbeing.

Ford also partnered with the Philippine Business for Social Progress to organize tree-planting activities in Marikina Watershed in Rizal and Buhisan Watershed in Cebu. Over 50 employees from Ford Philippines and various Ford dealers worked together to plant a total 1,975 native and fruit-bearing trees in Rizal, while over 30 Ford Philippines, Ford Cebu, and Ford Talisay personnel planted 5,000 seedlings in Cebu.

Meanwhile, nearly 30 employees of Ford Philippines and Ford Cainta donated basic necessities to the Anawim Lay Missions Foundation and Mother of Mercy Home of Elderly and Abandoned. This activity was conducted in partnership with the American Chamber Foundation Philippines.

“We thank all our Ford employee and dealer employee volunteers as well as non-governmental organization partners for dedicating their time and talent that led to the successful implementation of our community programs for this year’s Ford Global Caring Month in the Philippines. This is one of our biggest Global Caring Month celebrations to date and we are committed to continue our efforts to uplift and transform the lives of our beneficiaries and communities we serve with our programs centered around environment protection, health and nutrition, sustainable community development, and education,” Ford Philippines Government and Corporate Affairs Director Josie Gonzales stated.
