Russ Swift Sets the Stage on Fire at MIAS 2016

MANILA: The country’s biggest auto fiesta is on the move with the gates for Manila International Auto Show going wide from 7th April inviting locals and other automotive enthusiasts to witness a grand showcase of road beauties. Unlike other automotive shows around the globe, MIAS 2016 has much more to offer the crowd coming in. Yes, of course, they’ll be lured to see the new cars staged at the show but here we are talking about a thrilling event that has left the audience’s eyes popped out.

Stunt show by world’s renowned precision driver and Guinness World Record holder, Russ Swift who set the specially-built driving arena on fire with eye-popping car maneuverings. Driving a Subaru car, he performed breathtaking stunts including his trademark J-turns, donuts, skiing and mind blowing parallel parking. The crowd went crazy after witnessing his uber-cool moves live on the road and cheered their hearts out, which certainly ignited Russ Swift. This wasn’t his first appearance at MIAS, but the folks present at the arena gave him the same reception as the first one, which was incredible to watch.

Back in 1988, he ignited the fire for stunt driving with his famous Austin Montego commercial flaunting his exceptional maneuvers. This commercial went on to earn an accolade for the “Best car commercial in the world” and was even played at the Cannes Film Festival. He truly proved his worth and expertise in the field of car precision control, which was just a beginning for the master class.

Swift has performed in over 50 countries including America, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Africa, Indonesia and Australia featuring in more than 8,000 displays. Over the years, he has earned himself the title of the most wanted display driver for TV commercials and auto shows across the globe. He has marked his name in the Guinness World Records book for three categories, Parallel parking in the tightest space, J-Turn in the tightest space, and the fastest donuts.
