Subaru Impreza, upgraded for good

MANILA: Listen up Filipinos, it's time to celebrate and enjoy, especially for those who are planning to buy a sedan in the near future. Now, the good news is that the coming month will witness some great looking sedan like Volkswagen Passat, but that is due till Oct 21st. If you don't wish to wait that long then Subaru is the answer to all your search. The deal is that the company has revamped the entire range of its Impreza sedan and transformed it into a car that is more high-end and classier looking.

Go, and have a look at the transformed version at Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. (MIPI), the official distributor of Subaru in Philippines and enjoy the new looks. From exterior to interior every little aspect of the car has undergone a change, a change for good, leaving you stumped. The design language will remind you of the 2015 Legacy, one of Subaru's bestselling sedan that has won many hearts since the day of its arrival.

Alterations at the front arena include new HID headlamps that are now powered by auto levelizer ensuring that the headlamps are always pointed at the correct angle. Multi-reflector front and rear fog lamps adds visibility and safety, ORVM with built-in LED turn indicator, reverse camera, keyless access, single muffler cutter and powered sunroof are some of the amenities added to the re-equip Impreza. (Note that some of the features are available exclusively with 2.0i-Sport variant). The rear and side spoilers will come as an additional feature in the sports variant only.

Inside, changes are no less and are aimed to fill your journey with comfort and leisure. To its long list of updates are included a four-way adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, air-con system with microscopic filter and automatic airflow adjustment, and manual seat lifter.

Coming to the tech front, both the trim levels are stuffed with touchscreen display systems, like one on the dashboard that informs the driver about the fuel economy, driving conditions, outside temperature and other utilities. Taking care of your entertainment, the 2.0i variant is now fitted with a 6.2-inch color display audio system and the sport variant is equipped with a 7-inch VAG center display, both armed with 6 speakers.

Under the hood, things remain untouched, as both the variants will continue to generate power from the 2.0L DOHC Subaru Boxer that is capable enough to generate 150 PS @ 6,200 rpm and 196 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. The car will continue to display a fuel economy of 7.6 litre/100 km and 7.9 litre/100 km when mated with lineartronic and 6 MT respectively.
