Suzuki's most successful hatchback, Swift has registered five million sales mark globally, this April. Suzuki Swift was launched back in November 2004, thus, it took the car precisely eleven years and five months to attain the said 'benchmark'.

As the said achievement is not related to a specific country and is an accumulated global analysis, we have a chance to segregate it nation-wise. Now, as per the released data, India has contributed the most to Swift 5 million sales figure. The company has sold as many as 2.7 million units here, thus valuing 54% of the total sales output. Next after India is Europe that contributed 17% of the said massive sales figure. Another important market that showed a high inclination towards the car is none other than Swift birth site, Japan (10% portion). Rest of its sales localities showed a combined contribution of 10% and that's the area where the Philippines lies.

Yes, Suzuki Swift is not that popular in the Philippines market, as compared to the rest of the nations but, as per 2015 Philippines car sales analysis, Suzuki Ertiga was more searched and bought over vehicle than Swift. Hinting towards an SUV and crossover inclined market over the smaller hatches. Apart from Ertiga, Suzuki's other renowned nameplate in the Philippines are Vitara and APV.
