Toyota Gazoo Racing introduces new livery for 2024 WRC, WEC cars

MANILA: Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has revealed the new livery for the cars that will participate in the 2024 season of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid and the GR010 Hybrid will feature all-new matte black livery that embodies two concepts. The concept of "Speed" stands for TGR's ethos of "hate to lose," while the "Prototype" concept signifies the continuous evolution and improvement of cars developed for motorsports.

Making its debut at the 2022 WRC, the GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid is equipped with a 3.9-kilowatt-hour battery, a motor-generator unit, and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine. It is based upon a dedicated spaceframe chassis, which provides greater safety for drivers and co-drivers.

On the other hand, the GR010 Hybrid debuted at the 2021 WEC. It is powered by a front motor generator unit and a 3.5-liter V6 engine.

TGR will use the new livery for the cars not only in WRC and WEC, but also in other races where they will participate.

Just recently, TGR announced its race entry structure for the 2024 World Championship season. For the WRC, the team will be vying for the manufacturers', drivers' and co-drivers' titles, while for the WEC, they will continue to race in the Hypercar category.
