Toyota Motor PH brings out SE trim for Yaris Cross

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) further expanded the Yaris Cross roster with addition of the SE variant.

Offered as the model’s top-of-the-line hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) option, the latest offering moved the existing S trim to the nameplate’s upper middle-tier variation.

In a statement TMP claimed that the Toyota Yaris Cross SE delivers the “perfect blend of urban style, cutting-edge features, and Toyota’s renowned reliability, all while continuing Toyota’s legacy of Hybrid innovation.”

“With its fuel-efficient, eco-conscious performance, the Yaris Cross SE is ready to conquer the city streets, cruise highways, or explore far away winding roads, offering power and sustainability in one sleek package,” the firm added.

Here are the upgrades slapped into the crossover’s latest variation.

Notable updates

The Toyota Yaris Cross SE comes with sport-inspired, variant-specific portions that come in the form of:

• Front and rear skirts
• Roof spoiler
• Refined garnishes on the bumpers, back door, fog lamps, and grille

Its interior comes with the following updates:

• Digital rearview mirror with front and rear Digital Video Recorder
• Additional ambient lighting
• A digital signal processor for its audio
• Upgraded horn

The five-seater crossover is still powered by a four-cylinder, 16-Valve, dual variable valve timing with intelligence 1.5-liter hybrid gasoline engine mated to a continuous variable transmission that can dish out churns of up to:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	109
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	121

Providing juice to the vehicle is its lithium-ion battery and a fuel tank that can carry 36 liters of gasoline.

Further, it is also equipped a myriad of technologies under Toyota Safety Sense pre-collision system, automatic high beam, lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The model also boasts active safety features like electronic brake distribution, anti-lock brake system, vehicle stability control, and hill-start assist control.

The Yaris Cross SE is priced at P1.69 million.
