VinFast PH reveals VF 5 pricing

MANILA: At the opening of VinFast Philippines’ first three dealerships in the country, the local distributor revealed the price of the all-new VF 5 fully-electric subcompact crossover.  

The Vietnamese brand’s smallest electric vehicle model is sold in two versions. The one with a built-in battery pack retails at P1.191 million, while the version without a battery pack is priced at P992,000. 

At the most, the VF 5 can produce up to 134 horsepower (hp) from its single-motor setup. It also has a maximum range of up to 326 kilometers, as indicated by the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

According to the car maker, the subcompact EV model features a charging rate of 10 to 70 percent in just 30 minutes. It is also kitted out with an eight-inch infotainment screen, a seven-inch digital gauge cluster, a rear parking assist system, blind spot monitoring, and automatic LED headlamps, among others.  

VinFast is also showcasing its two larger crossovers at its newly opened dealerships. For those curious, the VF 7 is a compact crossover with a maximum power output of 348 hp and a NEDC range of 520 km. 

The full-size seven-seater VF 9, meanwhile, can churn out 402 hp from its dual-motor powertrain. It also has a range of up to 457 km, as indicated by the US Environmental Protection Agency. 

To note, the battery-less version of the marque’s smallest model will complement the brand’s battery subscription service. In addition, each purchase of the VF 9 and VF 7 comes with a 10-year warranty, while the VF 5 is offered with a seven-year warranty.
