Zeekr PH introduces 009 luxury MPV

MANILA: Zeekr Philippines, under the distributorship of the Autohub Group, has launched the all-new 009 electric-powered multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) for the local market.

The Zeekr 009, the brand’s local arm says, is targeting the local luxury MPV market via the model’s wide array of creature comforts, onboard technologies, and all-electric performance. It is likewise representative of the car brand’s “commitment to offer world-class mobility solutions.”

“Zeekr is committed to delivering a seamless electric vehicle ownership experience, not only through outstanding products, but also through superior customer service,” General Manager of Zeekr Philippines Wayne Tee Ten said. 

“With Autohub Group’s strong foundation and our strategic direction, we aim to become a key player in the country’s fast-emerging luxury EV (electric vehicle) market,” Tee Ten added. 

So, what is the all-new Zeekr 009 offering to prospective buyers? Let’s find out here. 

Exterior

Appearance-wise, the Zeekr 009 is a stately-looking MPV with a squarish overall shape that’s sprinkled all around with hyper-modern design details.

Up front, the all-new EV MPV wears a large square-shaped grille covered from top to bottom in a series of backlit vertical slats. Flanking the grille are a pair of rectangular triple-projector LED headlamp clusters, which are topped off by “inverted U-shaped” LED daytime running lamps. 

From the side, the model showcases its wide sliding doors, its straight-cut window line, and its generously expansive greenhouse. The said parts, together with the vehicle’s intricately hewn set of 20-inch wheels, result in a sleek side profile.

The rear of the model, meanwhile, continues the elegant and quiet theme with its flat tailgate, LED taillight bar, as well as a subtle-looking roof-mounted spoiler. 

Other notable exterior features of the all-new 009 MPV include, but are not limited to, the following:

Interior

As mentioned, the Zeekr 009 is an MPV, and just like many similar nameplates in the market, it has three rows. The Zeekr 009 Executive variant comes with a six-seater configuration with captain seats, while the 009 Lounge variant has a seven-seater configuration with a second row bench-type seat. 

The more luxurious of the two is the Executive, as its second row captain “aviation seats” come with a massage function, power adjustability, and heated footrests.

Both trims, however, were kitted out with Nappa leather upholstery, rebound sponge filling for their seats, and a lot of soft-touch surfaces. Everyone inside, meanwhile, is kept cool by an automatic climate control system with several auxiliary control surfaces and vents spread around the cabin. 

Notably, the Zeekr 009 comes with a thermostatic refrigerator mounted just behind the chunky front center console. 

Acting as the central control surface for most of the 009’s features is a sizable 15.05-inch 2.5K OLED display. If the aforementioned wasn’t enough, the second row also has a 17-inch 3K OLED touchscreen unit that can be folded into the ceiling when not in use. 

Both large digital displays inside the Zeekr 009 are controlled by two Qualcomm 8295 chips. As such, its infotainment system will not fall short in processing power under most circumstances. 

Moreover, the sound is fed into the 009’s cabin by a 30-piece Yamaha audio system. The said speaker set is backed up by a surround sound arrangement (with speakers mounted overhead), as well as a 32-channel audio system.

Safety

The tech-heavy Zeekr 009 comes with plenty of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS). However, it is its mega-cast steel and die-cast aluminum body, which Zeekr says, helped the model pass the rigorous serial rear-end collision test. 

Likewise notable is its ability to unlock all of its doors in the event of a collision. It can also detect the vital signs (breathing and body movement) of vehicle occupants through the use of millimeter-wave radar systems. 

For its ADAS kit, the Zeekr 009 comes with the following:

• Door opening warning
• Collision mitigation system rear
• Parking emergency braking
• Lane keep assist
• Around-view monitor
• 360-degree interior monitoring
• 720-degree active warning system
• LiDAR system
• Drive fatigue monitoring

Powertrain

Propelling the Zeekr 009 are two electric motors that can generate up to 777 horsepower. No torque figures were provided, but the model, Zeekr says, can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.9 seconds. 

Additionally, the model’s dual motor setup results in an all-wheel-drive layout. It also has front and rear disc brakes and a dual-chamber air-suspension system. 

To note, the aforementioned air-suspension system is backed by a CCD (Continuous Damping Control) with electromagnetic damping. With the said system on board the 009, ride quality is ensured by the system by actively adjusting to respond to vibrations. 

Together with the vehicle’s LiDAR system, the 009’s damping system can prepare to handle road bumps and bad road surfaces the moment those are detected. 

Concerning range, the Zeekr 009’s 108 kilowatt-hour battery can provide up to 702 kilometers, according to the China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). It also has a fast charging capability of 560 kilowatts (kW), which the carmaker says equates to a 10-80 percent charging rate of just 11.5 minutes. 

To handle its peak charging rate, the Zeekr 009 is equipped with the PTM 2.0 thermal management system, which is underpinned by a highly advanced thermal energy dissipation unit and a combined water and air-conditioning system.

The Philippine-spec Zeekr 009 Executive trim (six-seater) is priced at P4.399 million, while the Lounge trim (seven-seater) retails at P4.199 million. Until the end of June 2025, the Lounge version comes with a special introductory price of P3.999 million, along with exclusive downpayment terms. 

In addition, each purchase of the Zeekr 009 comes packaged with an eight-year battery warranty and a 24/7 emergency assistance service.
