Honda launches ADV 150 in Indonesia

MANILA: The newest adventure-inspired scooter, Honda ADV 150 has been launched at the 2019 GIIAS (Gaiikindo Indonesia International Auto Show). It draws inspiration from the Honda X-ADV 750, the new class 2 winner in 7,000-kilometer Gibraltar Race. It is a radical scooter, which is made for adventure riding.

The all-new ADV 150 shares the same platform with the current PCX 150. Moreover, the powerplant of both the scooters is also the same, the 150cc mill. The other similar features include the LED lights and a fully-digital instrument panel. The user has the option to choose between the brand’s combi-brake system and ABS.

For handling the bumps, the scooter comes with Showa rear shock absorbers. There is also a panel step-board, an adjustable windscreen, wind deflectors on both sides and handguards. The travel suspension is longer than the PCX 150 and the dual-sport tires are fitted as a standard feature. The seat height is also the differentiating factor of the bike as it gets that of 795mm, while PCX comes with 764 mm of height.

Furthermore, the scooter features  Honda's Smart Key System and a large 28-litre under-seat box, the latter can be used to keep the full-face helmet along with other things. The bike equips an 8-litre capacity of the fuel tank. The engine can provide an overall driving range of around 350 Km.

The ABS version of the Honda ADV 150 is priced at IDR 36,500,000, which is equivalent to PHP 134,000. Whereas, the combi-brake variant of the scooter comes with IDR 33,500,000 of price tag, equivalent to PHP 130,000.

The availability of this street runner still hauls a question mark for the island as Honda Philippines has not spoken a word about whether it will bring the two-wheeler to the Philippines or not.
