While for regular commuting, the Mazda CX-8 is a great choice, the 2.5L engine lacks the power that is required for off-roading or quick acceleration. On the highway, the CX-8 is smooth, but when I push it, the engine seems to be a bit underpowered. This car is definitely not made for off-road adventures or aggressive driving. Design-wise, it is a head turner and captivates everyone with its appealing exterior design. It is very quiet and I can hear almost zero noise from the outside. For family buyers, it is a surprisingly good seven-seat SUV.
