Sadly though Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are missing from the list, however, you can connect your smartphone via the K2 technology, a mirroring feature supported via T-link application. Tried and trusted engines

The Philippines-spec model of Toyota Avanza is available in four variants options, two of which are powered by a 1.3-litre and other two via 1.5-litre mill. Browse through the Toyota Avanza specs sheet, and you’ll find that they are the units powering the previous-gen model. The 1.3-litre engine is tuned to churn out a max power of 96 PS at 6000 rpm and generates a peak torque of 121 Nm at 4200rpm. The 1.5-litre unit, on the other hand, pops-out 104 PS at 6,000 rpm and 121 Nm at 4,200 rpm. There are two transmission options available with both the engines - a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic unit.

Safety features

Mainstream cars don’t have to be vulnerable. That’s what Toyota believes, and that’s what people want. The Avanza has got a 4-star ASEAN NCAP rating for safety and security features. This itself is a great selling point for Toyota. And of course, this safety rating has been made possible by incorporating good safety and security features.

The Avanza comes with dual SRS airbags, ABS, side door impacts, seatbelts, child lock protection, and child restraint system. In terms of security, there is the Toyota Vehicle Security System with alarm and immobilizer, and wireless door locks.

Toyota has clearly shown everyone that making a multi-utility vehicle with stylish looks, efficient engine, good interiors, and a great safety kit is possible at an affordable price. Talking about Toyota Avanza price, it starts from Php 731,000 and goes up to Php 1,065,000.

The Avanza is available in seven exterior color options - White, Beige Metallic, Grey Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic, Darl Blue SE, Black Metallic, and Dark Red Mica Metallic.
