2020 Geely Coolray launched at Php 1.198 million

The bookings of 2020 Coolray has been started by Geely’s official distributor, Sojitz G Auto Philippines in the country. The upcoming B-segment crossover showcases a cool styling on the exterior which is inspired by the Star Wars and also the cockpit draws clues from jet fighter aircraft. Cooray gives competition to Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport, Honda HR-V, and the Hyundai Kona.

Exterior designing features a signature ‘expanding cosmos’ front grille and sleek headlights. The Geely Coolray either comes with projector halogens or LED headlights depending on the variant. It also offers two choices of alloy wheels size- 17-inch or 18-inch.

To further enhance the sporty look of the Geely Coolray, LED taillights and a quad exhaust system is included in the model. The body dimensions are 4330 mm long, 1795 mm wide, and 1609 mm tall, whereas wheelbase and ground clearance measurements are 2600 mm and 196 mm.

Inside the cabin, the vehicle incorporates a huge 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, metal finishing all-around along with a distinct red-trimmed dashboard. Higher variants also offer a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, 360-degree around-view cameras, and automated parking assist.

The drivetrain is backed with a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-three dubbed ‘GPower’ which produces 177 PS of power at 5500 rpm and 255 Nm of torque at 1500 - 4000 rpm. Power is then sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Geely claims a 0 - 100 km/h run in 7.9 seconds and all four corners come with disc brakes.

The introductory price of the Coolray announced a few days back stands at Php 1,198,000,  and it is now available for booking in three variants- Comfort, Premium, and Sport, all come with a 5-year/150,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.

Further, it is reported that the distributor has received orders of 40 units in the first 3 weeks for the first market coverage. More on prices and specs are yet to be revealed by the automaker.
