2nd Leg of 2023 TGR Vios Cup To Happen This Weekend

MANILA: The second leg of the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Cup will take place on Saturday, September 9, at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) in Pampanga.

Admission to this Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) race event is free and motorsports fans are welcome to take part in this thrilling celebration of fast cars and inspiring race champions.

Live race action at CIS will begin at 9:30 a.m. The event will also be live streamed on the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Facebook page.

In the first leg of the 2023 TGR Vios Cup, Jarond Mesina and Ian Rosales of Team Toyota Cebu dominated the Circuit Championship races in the Promotional and Super Sporting classes, respectively.

For the Sporting Class, Bern Corpino of Toyota Balintawak Inc - Obengers Racing Team took the first spot on the podium. Meanwhile, Patricia Tenorio of ZIGWHEELS PHILIPPINES won the Media Promotional Class, and Siegwald Go won the Media Sporting Class. Bianca Yao took the top spot in the Promotional Influencer Class, followed by Arriane Bautista in second place and Apple David in third place. Miguel Romulo won the Sporting Influencer Class championship.

TMP offers fans yet another thrilling race weekend for the second leg of the TGR Vios Cup this season.

Participants will race against one another in their respective classes for the Circuit Championship category. Meanwhile, in the Autocross Challenge, participants will complete a predetermined obstacle course in the least number of laps possible.

The Circuit Championship and Autocross Challenge for this leg will include professional and novice racers, as well as celebrities, influencers, and members of the media. Veteran Vios Cup racer Troy Montero will be joining the Circuit Championship Sporting Class, while GR Fest racer Ryan Agoncillo and actor Enzo Pineda will be participating in the Promotional Class. Social media influencers Macoy Dubs, Genesis Redido, and cyclist Ezra Domingo will also return to show off their racing prowess.

Also joining the Autocross Challenge are Bautista, David, Yao, and Romulo. They will be joined by Reph Bangsil, Carla Lizardo, Megan Young, Benedict Cua, and Lexi Mendiola.

TMP's GR lineup, including the Toyota GR Supra and Toyota GR Yaris, will be on display at the event. The New Generation Tamaraw Concept, which will also be present at the event and act as the pace car for this leg. The Circuit Race and Autocross Challenge will be more exciting with the addition of the Toyota Corolla Altis GR-S HEV race car.
