All-New Ford Ranger Launches at IIMS 2015

MANILA: The country Indonesia is in the news now days as two prominent auto shows are running there. Some new cars are unveiled at Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2015 while others have got place on GIIAS platform. The American brand, Ford Motor Company has chosen the IIMS to wrap off its Everest, Ranger and Focus for Indonesian market.

On this mega launch of new Ranger, the Managing Director of Ford Motor Indonesia said, "We are excited by the launch of our New Ranger, New Focus, and New Everest today. These cars will be our proof as our commitment to Indonesian customers. To provide the best of its class, we believe our cars have an incredible quality in design, superior fuel efficiency, safety and smart feature for new customers.”

This pickup is offered in 6 variants; Base, base Plus, XLS, XLS with 5 Star safety package, XLT, and Wildtrack. While the Base trim is in single cab, the rest all are in double cabs. The New Ranger is a perfect combination of urban styling and muscular appearance where the front is striking with a new trapezoidal front grille and projector headlamps. With decent load bed at back, this pick up can carry kgs of weight easily.

The cabin is spacious to easily accommodate 5 passengers. The upholstery is premium and the dashboard is captivating where all systems and controls are practically laid out. There is a SYNC 2 with voice recognition, 8-inch touch screen display, air conditioning, multi-functional steering wheel, and small slots for storage.

As per the variant, one of the two engines can be seen under the new Ranger's bonnet; the 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre engine. The engines are either mated with a manual or automatic transmission. The maximum power output range is in between 125 PS and 200 PS while the maximum torque range is in the bracket of 330 Nm to 470 Nm.
