Aston Martin to revive the 90s built V8 Vantage V600
MANILA: Do you remember Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600 built during the 90s? Known as the Le Mans, this Vantage was the most powerful car of its time. And now we hear that Aston Martin is paying tribute to the legend with the all-new V12 Vantage V600 that is built on the traces taken from the iconic model.

Earlier today, Aston Martin took covers off the stunning V12 Vantage V600, a perfect throwback to the old V8 Vantage. Here are a few key highlights about the 2018 V12 V600 -
- Aston Martin Q-Commission department will head the production of the new Vantage V600
- This old soul Vantage in a new body will be a limited edition model, restricted to a total of 14 units
- These 14 models are evenly bifurcated in seven roadsters and seven coupes
- It would be based on the ‘VH’ architecture and would be the last Aston Martin two-door sports car to feature the same
- The company has decided to manufacture all the 14 Vantage V12 V600 models by hand
- Powering it would be a 5.9-litre V12 mill that’ll generate a maximum power of 600 PS
- Keeping it true to the good old times, the V12 engine would be paired with a 7-speed manual gearbox. Yes, a manual setup!
- Manufacturing has begun and deliveries will commence from the third quarter of 2018

The new Vantage V12 V600 images are released by the company and they display a stylish car that looks way better than the old V8 V600. Unlike the old metal body, the new Vantage is entirely made of carbon-fibre, a factor we think will benefit its performance specs. While the front is decorated with a huge chrome mesh grille and dotted V-pattern on the hood, the rear gets a brand new carbon fibre diffuser and quad exhaust system. Also, the car features a bespoke centre-lock forged machined alloy wheels, and three-stage adaptive damping process.

The cabin of the all-new 2018 Vantage V12 V600 is dipped in luxury. Keeping the overall weight under check the centre console features an all-carbon-fibre setup. The information binnacle is unique and can be customised to customer choice. Other touches include seats featuring lightweight material and perforated pattern, machined-from-solid’ gear shifter, and hand-crafted saddle leather centre armrest.
What a great way to honour an iconic car, isn’t it? With only fourteen models on sale, the Aston Martin will sure bring a storm with the V12 V600.
