BYD Atto3 now available in PH, priced from P1.598-M

MANILA: BYD Philippines officially launched the Atto3 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.

The Chinese carmaker's newest electric vehicle (EV) offering comes in two variants: the standard range Dynamic priced at P1.598 million, and the extended range Premium priced at P1.798 million.

Exterior

The Atto3 features a modern styling designed for young professionals. It is equipped with LED headlights with follow-me-home function, daytime running lights, and tail light bar.

It is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels for the Dynamic variant, while the Premium model comes with a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

Other exterior features include roof rail, electrically heated and adjustable exterior mirrors, and electric unlock tailgate.

The BYD Atto3 is available in four colors: Surf Blue, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, and Ski White.

Interior

Inside, the crossover comes with synthetic leather seats with six-way power adjustment on the driver's seat and four-way power adjustment on the front passenger's seat. The second-row seat can be split-folded to create more space for the cargo on the rear.

The centerpiece of the cabin is a 12.8-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen that can be connected to a smartphone via Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Features like automatic air-conditioning system, keyless entry and start, and wireless phone charger provide further comfort and convenience for the driver and the passengers alike.

The Atto3 is also designed with a panoramic sunroof to provide a sense of openness inside.

Powertrain

The all-electric crossover is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor and the BYD Blade Battery. It produces up to 150 kilowatts (kW) of power and 310 Newton-meters of torque.

It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in as fast as 7.3 seconds. The Dynamic model has driving range of up to 410 kilometers (km) on a single charge, while the Premium variant can reach up to 480 km.

Using the 2.3-kW portable charger, the Atto3 can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 15 to 21 hours. However, the EV can also be charged through a public direct current 180-kW fast charger in as fast as 30 minutes.

The Atto3 also has a vehicle-to-load function, allowing its stored energy to be used in powering electronic devices.

Safety

To ensure the safety of all occupants, the Atto3 is equipped with multiple airbags, as well as advanced driver assistance systems such as full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist.

Other safety technologies include hill descent control, 360-degree view monitor, and front and rear radars.
