Filipino's witnessed Mini Power at Cebu Track Day

MANILA: MINI’s Cebuanos dealership hosted the first-ever MINI driving experience at the SM Cebu’s open parking area, conscripting four vehicles, including three and five-door Cooper units. The event was dedicated to offer a thrilling ride experience to the participants. The track day witnessed 100 people who got chance to get behind the wheels of the three Mini vehicles and drive them in a controlled and safe environment.

Mini Cebu dealership principals Lyndon Go, Brian Chua and January Go were present at the event to deliver their complete support. The participants experienced a two-day trilling MINI drive to know its speed, agility and feel. The three-door hatch was also used in a gymkhana-type activity where drivers were allowed to show handling power and experience go-kart appeal.

Warren Go and Byron Piramide were rewarded with an iPad Mini prize who finished it quickly and accurately.

Meanwhile, the five-door hatch and Countryman were able to demonstrate the iconic British automaker's art and safety equipment. Drivers were provided with brief idea about using features like the electronic brake distribution, stability control and dynamic traction including working of antilock braking system.

The event was co-sponsored by Pilipinas Shell, which showcased the efforts of British United Automobiles Inc. to inform people regarding benefits of Mini ownership. Mini Philippines also offered an exciting round trip ticket to the Plant Oxford facility, UK with every each purchase within July 2 to Oct 15, 2015. The travel expenses including three days and two night hotel accommodation will be covered by the company.
