Ford introduces Special Edition models for Expedition and Explorer SUVs

MANILA: The annually held Texas State Fair 2018 is currently underway, and the dose of the sweet treat has begun in the first week itself. Ford has revealed four of its special edition SUVs. Out of these four, two are for the Expedition, while the remaining of the Explorer.

To be more precise, Ford has named one of the two Expedition special edition models after the place where it has been revealed, that is, the Texas Edition. This Expedition Texas Edition showcased 22-inch wheels and a special badge at the rear end. Apart from this, there are also some other features from the Ford Expedition Special Edition haul which includes the Cargo Package, active parking assist, and the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package.

The Ford Expedition Stealth Edition, on the other hand, displays many visual enhancements like a lot of blacked-out trims on the headlamps, grille and fog lamps to stay true to its naming. It rides on 22-inch wheels too. On the inside, there is a complete blacked out setting albeit with red stitchings.

The Ford Explorer special editions are named - the Limited Luxury and Dessert Copper. There are 20-inch wheels given for both of them. The Limited Luxury model gets multi-contoured seats along with the Active Motion technology and an upgraded steering wheel that gets a host of new features. The seats are wrapped in Nirvana leather upholstery.

On the contrary, the Explorer Dessert Copper model is built on the XLT variant and has chrome embellished rear-view mirrors. On the inside, there are copper-colored inserts on the contrasting black interior layout.

The company has not mentioned how many of these special edition units will be up for sale. However, considering that the two SUVs are sold in high numbers, Ford may have a long run for these models. These special edition models will be added to the lineup a little later this year.
