Hyundai reveals all-new Elantra GT N Line at 2019 NAIAS

MANILA: It was the 2017 Chicago International Auto Show when the manufacturer launched the standard Elantra GT, a four-door hatchback version of the popular sedan. Hyundai has now added the N Line to this powerful Elantra GT lineup at the 2019 NAIAS (North American International Auto Show). It is Hyundai's N performance division that gives a host of features inside and out to this sportier version of the car.

The Hyundai Elantra GT N Line is equipped with a 1.6-litre direct injection inline-4 turbocharged mill that is capable of pushing out up to 204 PS of maximum power and a peak torque of 264 Nm. The engine can either be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Coming to the design, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT N Line gets some of its designing cues from the i30 N. A unique N Line cascading grille has been added to the front fascia to define the sporty character of the hatch. The rear bumper also gets a revised appearance and the side mirror caps get a black paint job. The vehicle rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels which are wrapped with  Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40 tyres.

Getting inside the cabin, there is a leather steering wheel for the driver and the occupants can enjoy their ride on the comfortable leather seats which have the ‘N’ logo. Moreover, there is also a unique gear shifter with leather & metal accents and an instrument panel with a sporty setup. The hatchback comes with a lot of other features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, panoramic sunroof, smart cruise control, wireless charging pad for mobile devices, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, drive attention warning and high-beam assist.

Hyundai‘s N Line works will be added to more models in the company’s lineup. It is expected that Kona or Tucson will get the N Line treatment soon too. Also, these models will have high chances of hitting the Philippines market.
