In 5 photos: Toyota Land Cruiser 300 gets electrified in PH

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) will expand the Land Cruiser (LC) 300 sport utility vehicle (SUV) lineup with a new hybrid variant, showcased at the ongoing Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

Poised to cater to the shifting needs of Filipino motorists, the iconic nameplate will allow enthusiasts to enjoy the advantages of driving the marque’s most recognizable models — all while enjoying the perks offered by an electrified vehicle. 

“Toyota is dedicated to offering a wide range of cars, ranging from ICEs (internal combustion engine), HEVs (hybrid electric vehicle), and BEVs (battery electric vehicle), to cater to the diverse needs of customers – with the LC300 HEV being the latest effort towards this commitment,” TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Elijah Marcial was quoted as saying.

“Customers can now enjoy the practical hybrid technology Toyota offers in combination with the proven quality, durability, and reliability of the Land Cruiser 300. We hope that this new and improved variant of the LC300 will empower more customers to choose Toyota when looking for a partner for adventure,” he added.

LC300 HEV notable features

Propulsion for the Toyota LC 300 HEV will come from a single-motor hybrid system alongside the tried and tested 3.5-liter V6 engine.

In addition, it gets electronic power steering that comes from its development into a hybrid electric vehicle. 

The new variant also exclusively features an aerodynamic body kit with Jet-Black Garnish. 

These improvements found in the Toyota LC300 HEV — TMP pointed out — will offer an improved package with the same unmatched durability, reliable power, and innovative performance. 

“The debut of the LC300 HEV is proof of Toyota pushing towards thoughtfully crafted innovations for their heritage models, while keeping the fundamental features that made it legendary intact,” the company wrote in a press release.

“With technology that adapts to the growing needs of customers, the LC300 HEV gives owners the capability to take on the roads with a proven nameplate while minimizing their carbon emissions,” it added.

TMP opens reservation books for LC300 HEV

TMP has officially opened the reservation books for the Toyota LC300. 

Customers may reserve their SUVs through any authorized Toyota dealer nationwide.

TMP at PIMS 2026

The Toyota booth at PIMS 2026 will feature the brand’s latest offerings until June 7 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
