Isuzu teases 2020 D-Max, looks more premium

MANILA: Just a couple of days before the next-generation Isuzu D-Max's launch, the Japanese automaker has teased the car by releasing a video. Apart from these, no details have been revealed. However, one can quickly identify some of its new design cues from that teaser video.

The teaser video is posted on the Japanese manufacturer's Thailand website. A countdown of 7 days 5 hours is also present on the website on October 4. The 2020 D-Max will make its global debut on October 11.

The Isuzu D-Max comes with a new face. More defined headlights are provided at the front, and the grille also gets a new design, which looks sophisticated. There are a more pronounced Isuzu logo, a dark crossbar and a grey trim featured in the video. The fog light housings now provide a better appearance than the outgoing model.

Inside the cabin, it looks like designing is revamped in some selective departments. There are more premium looks provided to the centre console. The piano-black plastics covers make it look more attractive, and the shift knob comes with pretty good stitching.

The gear selector is present on the automatic variants and is more upmarket if compared to the leather shift boot and the gloss-finished top part. Also, the climate control panel gets some modifications as the circular design is replaced by the toggle switches that help to control the air-conditioning.

Also, there are boxy new taillights which make the pickup's appearance a bit better. There are redesigned gauges, and engine covers also present. As said earlier, the Japanese carmaker, Isuzu has not mentioned anything about the engine specifications. However, one can identify that the next-gen pickup will come with a new mill.
