Kia PH throws support to first-ever Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge

MANILA: Kia Philippines was the official mobility partner of the first-ever Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge.

In a statement, the ACMobility subsidiary shared that the event (held last September 20-21 at the Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati) received support by transporting top international pole vaulters during the two days of elite competition using the following models:

• EV9
• Carnival
• Seltos

Per Kia Philippines, among those who took part at the recently-concluded event was Ernest John Obiena.

The result of the partnership with the Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge, Kia Philippines shared, "reflects the brand’s commitment to “Movement that Inspires.”

In addition, the Korean automaker’s local distributor hinted at the upcoming collaboration with Obiena. Per Kia Philippines, the collaboration will “underscore Kia’s dedication to empowering athletes and celebrating sports that inspire Filipinos to push boundaries and strive for excellence.”

With this, Obiena could be part of the Atletang Ayala roster — Filipino athletes who are given the opportunity to build professional careers in the Ayala group of companies.

Upon checking the Ayala Foundation website, athletes in the said program (which was launched in July 2024) receive benefits to augment their training requirements while supporting their growth as Ayala group professionals. These benefits include:

• Fixed funds for joining international training camps and competitions
• Full-salaried employment with flexible work arrangements
• Healthway Medical Network’s Athletes’ Health program
• Free access to the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub
• Arrangements for continuing education at De La Salle University.
