Kia To Stage Grand Sedona At GIIAS 2016

MANILA: As the inauguration date for the 24th GIIAS 2016 is coming closer, the auto market, especially in Indonesia is heating up. It doesn't require to apply rocket science that the success achieved by the auto show years after years is tremendous and no auto brand would give it a miss. This Indonesian auto show has recorded an average of 3.5 million visitors in its 23 years of the journey so far and so auto enthusiasts, auto brands and car lovers look forward to this event every year. Till date, 25 passenger cars brands have nodded on making their appearance with their updated fleets at the 24th GIIAS and we assure that it is going to be a really interesting event with the theme 'Green Technology For A Better Future' as the automakers will focus more on this theme while presenting their cars.

After Hyundai announced to mark its attendance at the GIIAS, Kia also confirmed that it'll show up its face at the event with its newest addition. To make the best out of this golden opportunity, Kia is launching the new Grand Sedona in the Indonesian market through this event. The new Kia Grand Sedona will compete with other biggies like Nissan Serena, Mazda Biante, and Toyota NAV1 in its segment while try to grab the limelight from its cousin Hyundai H1 which actually falls in the arena of big MPVs. Grand Sedona will show its virtue with mighty measurements worth 5115 mm at length and 1985 mm in width. This 3rd generation MPV is expected to house a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which will be capable of knocking out 197 hp of maximum power along with 440 Nm of peak torque. Another speculation of a 3.3-litre gasoline engine is in the air which has a might to churn out 267 hp of peak power and 318 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines may arrive with 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Also, all-new Kia Sportage, which is well appreciated compact SUV, will be showcased at the event. The PR Manager of KIA Mobil Indonesia (KMI) – Lawindri mentioned, “GIIAS is an excellent opportunity to introduce Grand Sedona and All New KIA Sportage. Since Indonesians love big family vehicles and competent crossovers, these 2 new models will serve the purpose". The company is yet to reveal the updations and modification it has given to the newest model. In addition to these 2 models, Kia will bring the new facelifted Rio and Picanto to Indonesia.
