Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross along with six others to present at Tokyo Auto Salon

MANILA: Mitsubishi will be showcasing seven models at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020, which starts from Jan 10. Out of the seven models, the Japanese automaker has put out details of the five. The list of models includes the upcoming Super Height K-Wagon, Outlander PHEV, Eclipse Cross Weekend Explorer, Delica D:5 minivan, and eK Cross Wild Beast Concept.

Talking about the Eclipse Cross Weekend Explorer first, it will feature an adjustable suspension from Air Force Suspension Japan that’s capable of lowering or raising ride height with the help of a smartphone app or remote control. Moreover, it will be fitted with Toyo tyres, a roof rack and a special Weekend Explorer app for display audio system.

The eK Cross Wild Beast Concept, on the other hand, gets rugged styling with black cladding, side skirts, roof rack, grey accents and all-terrain Toyo tyres. A disaster relief vehicle in the form of Outlander PHEV NERV will also be on display at the auto salon which has been developed by Gehirung Co. and Mitsubishi.

Some of the highlighting features of the Outlander PHEV NERV are KYMETA u7 planar satellite antenna, Toyo tyres wrapped around the Crimson Lycan wheels and NERV body wrap. Also, it can temporarily supply power to needy communities during disasters.

Another vehicle exhibiting at the show is the Delica D:5 All Blacks, which gets black Advan Racing RZII wheels wrapped with all-terrain Yokohama Geolandar X-AT and All Blacks logos.

Next model based on the Delica D:5 that will on show is the green-coloured minivan customized to look cute and friendly, according to the Japanese director Terry Ito. The front of the minivan is accentuated with multi-slat grille and round headlamps, while the sides with Daytona SS wheels shod with Yokohama Geolander tyres.
