Mitsubishi PH opens new dealership in Negros Occidental

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has opened its newest dealership in Talisay City, Negros Occidental. The facility is operated by MG Gateway South Corporation (GSC). It has a total land area of 4,200 square meters and features a seven-vehicle display at the main showroom, and 18 car bays in the service area.

Negros Occidental is the western half of Negros, the Philippines’ fourth largest and second most populated island. Because it is rich in raw sugar cane crops, it is known as the country’s “sugar bowl.” With Bacolod as the province’s capital, it has embraced urbanization throughout time. Oil companies’ factories, bottling plants, steel fabricators, business process outsourcing hubs, PEZA-registered IT parks and centers, and domestic and international airports have all contributed to the development of the province’s economy.

In a statement, GSC Chairman Markane Goho said, “We are extremely thankful and very humbled to be given this opportunity to open another Mitsubishi dealership. This is also very special to us because this is our first dealership in the province of Negros Occidental. We are fully committed to contribute in increasing the sales and market share as well as uplifting the Mitsubishi brand image. A virtual grand opening ceremony was conducted last Friday, February 18, to officially introduce Mitsubishi Talisay Negros to the brand’s dealer network. The event was graced by Goho, along with GSC President Raymund Basubas and MMPC President and Chief Executive Officer Takeshi Hara. It also celebrated the relaunch of Mitsubishi Motors Quezon Avenue, which is now supervised by the same group.

“It is no secret that the Gateway Group has a history of success and expertise. This is proven not just by its longevity in the business but also in the way it embraces challenges. Relaunching an already existing dealership with Quezon Avenue and opening in a new region with Negros simultaneously is no easy feat. Mitsubishi Talisay Negros is located along Lacson Street, Zone 15 Poblacion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
