Mitsubishi produces 900k units globally in 2025

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motor Corporation has produced a total of 883,828 globally for 2025. The aforementioned represents a 93.6 percent year-on-year increase for the Japanese marque.

In December 2025 alone, the Tokyo-based carmaker’s global facilities have rolled out a total of 76,688 units - a 106.3 percent, which the company says is its first consecutive monthly increase since November 2025. 

To further break down Mitsubishi’s global production figure, 471,467 units were made in Factories located in its home country. A total of 412,361 units, meanwhile, were produced in its factories in other parts of the world. 

Out of those produced in Japan, 227,760 units were exported to various markets - a 97.1 percent year-on-year increase. 

No global sales figures were provided by Mitsubishi Motor Corporation, but the automotive company did disclose that it sold 69,880 vehicles in 2025 for the Japanese Domestic Market.

Mitsubishi in PH

In the context of the Philippine market, Mitsubishi’s local arm, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC),  is the Top 2 car brand for 2025 among the members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI).

Specifically, MMPC has sold 86,808 units in the local market for the entirety of 2025. The CAMPI charts indicate that it has beaten out fellow member Suzuki Philippines Incorporated, which sold 21,984 units for the whole of last year. 

Currently, MMPC’s local lineup consists of the following nameplates:

• Mirage hatchback
• Mirage G4 
• Xforce
• Destinator
• Montero Sport
• Xpander 
• Xpander Cross
• Triton
• L300

One of the latest models MMPC launched in the Philippines was the Versa Van - a 15-seater people carrier that is currently priced at P1.649 million. 

Propelling the Mitsubishi Versa Van is a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine capable of outputting 127 horsepower and 356 Newton-meters of torque. The said engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission that sends power to the vehicle’s rear wheels.

• Dedicated air outlets per row
• Sliding side doors
• Manual air-conditioning
