New PH-spec Mini John Cooper Works lineup unveiled
New JCW line includes two all-electric models
MANILA: British United Automobiles Incorporated, the official distributor of Mini cars in the Philippines and a part of the Autohub Group, has unveiled the latest lineup of John Cooper Works (JCW) models for the local market.

Mini JCW Electric 3-Door, JCW Aceman
According to its local distributor, the Mini JCW Electric 3-Door and the JCW Aceman both ride on an EV architecture that’s well-suited to performance. Both utilize a powertrain that can generate up to 258 horsepower (hp) and 350 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, though the Mini JCW Electric 3-Door offers a range of 371 kilometers (km), while the JCW Aceman can cover up to 355 km from a single full charge. Both nameplates use a CCS2 charging port.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelAppearance-wise, both of the small all-electric rides get the signature red, white, and black JCW logo, black-colored side skirts, as well as additional aerodynamic parts such as C-pillar aeroblades and a rear spoiler.
Specific to the JCW Aceman is a set of 18-inch wheels. The Mini JCW Electric, on the other hand, rides on a set of 19-inch wheels.

Joining the local JCW lineup are the Mini 3-Door and Mini Convertible, which are both powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine paired with a sport-tuned dual-clutch transmission. On both nameplates, the said engine is capable of producing up to 231 hp and 380 Nm of torque.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelAccording to the company, the Mini JCW 3-Door is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 6.1 seconds. The Mini JCW Convertible, meanwhile, has a zero to 100 kph time of 6.4 seconds.
Per its distributor, the Mini JCW Convertible can lower its roof in just 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30 kph. Both vehicles also get a gloss black front grille, JCW logos, red colored inserts for their front apron air inlets, and a black colored rear diffuser with a central tailpipe.

Mini JCW Countryman All4
Last but not least is the Mini JCW Countryman All4 - an all-wheel-drive model that is touted to combine performance and off-road capability.
Photo by Cesar Guiderone MiguelAt maximum, the said model’s 2.0-liter engine can produce up to 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It is also capable of reaching a top speed of 250 kph.
Unique to the JCW Countryman All4 are vertical taillights and front aerodynamic elements that all come with unique JCW signature designs. It also has roof rails, a panoramic sunroof, and 20-inch wheels - among others.

For the five new JCW models, their interiors were provided with leather upholstery and soft-touch surfaces colored in red and black. Their steering wheels, for example, get a black leather finish with red stitching and a bottom spoke covered in black and red fabric.
Also present inside the models are JCW sport seats and dashboards with red accent stitching, a Harman Kardon sound system, as well as an array of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS).
Depending on the model, the all-new JCW lineup was also fitted with the following:

- Navigation system
- Rearview camera
- Automatic high beams
- Tire pressure monitoring
- LED exterior lighting fixtures
- Wireless smartphone charging
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Adaptive suspension
- Mechanical limited-slip differential
Moreover, all five nameplates were equipped with the JCW-specific “go-kart” mode. Per the company, the said mode provides a more direct steering feel and faster responsiveness for the accelerator.
All JCW models also get the Digital Key Plus, which makes various vehicle functions accessible via a user’s smartphone.

To note, the all-new JCW family will officially make their public debut at the Autohub Trackday event on September 7, 2025. The said event will be held at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
