Porsche celebrates founder's birthday with ultra-limited 911 GT3 variant

MANILA: Porsche has introduced a special version of the 911 GT3 to celebrate the 90th birthday of its founder - Ferdinand Alexander (F.A.) Porsche. 

F.A. Porsche, who would have been 90 years old on December 11, 2025, was the founder of the said German sports car brand. So, to mark the said occasion, Porsche rolled out the 911 GT3 90 F.A., which was directly inspired by the founder’s very own G-Series 911, which the brand says he drove in the 1980s. 

Unique touches on the 911 GT3 90 F.A. will include special items such as the F.A. Green metallic paint and F.A. Grid-Weave fabric for the interior. 

As the brand further explained, the F.A. Greenmetallic color was a nod to F.A. Porsche’s own 911, which came in Oakgreenmetallic. The aforementioned was made possible by the German marque’s “Paint to Sample Plus” program, which allows buyers to paint any model with any color they want. The F.A. Greenmetallic color, however, will remain exclusive to the 911 GT3 90 F.A.

Inside the Porsche 911 GT3 90 F.A. is the F.A. Grid-Weave fabric. It will be applied to the limited edition 911’s seat center panels together with Truffle Brown Club Leather. The special fabric will also be applied to the car’s glove box, board briefcase, and luggage compartment mat. 

According to Mark Porsche, the son of F.A. Porsche, the F.A. Grid-Weave features the colors of his father’s favorite jackets. These colors include black, green, truffle brown, cream, and Bordeaux Red.

The vehicle will also feature a plaque engraved with F.A. Porsche’s signature, a special Sport Chrono (on top of the instrument panel) based on the original Chronograph I, an open-pore walnut plywood gear knob, and another gold-plated plaque with the words: “One of 90.” 

Propelling the Porsche 911 GT3 90 F.A. is a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six gasoline engine that can produce up to 503 horsepower and 450 Newton-meters of torque. Other mechanical and exterior bits of the special 911 version are based on the GT3 Touring Package.

As hinted by its interior accoutrements, the 911 GT3 90 F.A. is positioned as a very exclusive model, with only 90 units planned for production through the Porsche Sonderwunsch special request program. 

The company is set to open its reservation books for the limited-edition 911 in April 2026, and it will command a price of €351,211. At current exchange rates, that is approximately P24.244 million.
