Prepared to Blow Your Mind Away - 2015 Toyota Hilux

MANILA : Competition is a serious affair in Toyota House, ever since it was slotted down to number two position in the SUV segment. Toyota has put in its blood, sweat and tears to retain back its lost glory and it seems that all its efforts are going down the correct lane. With the official launch of Toyota Hilux by Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP), one thing is very clear that this time Toyota is under full preparation to take down any one who comes into its way of success.

This new-generation Hilux is all set to bring a revolution in the pickup market with its bold and aggressive looking exterior. Its front fascia features a three-plate chrome grille housing the Toyota logo in the mid that smoothly blends into the curvaceous headlights. The new Hilux has brought with itself a smoother tougher looking bonnet, air vents with black glossy finish, and completing the front look are the circular fog lamps. The side profile withholds the same attraction with some great character lines, chrome finished door handles, wider looking wheel arches and the black ORVM embossed with side indicators. The rear end will feature a re-shaped taillight with great graphics that extend from the rear panel.

The interior side of the new Hilux is now integrated with enhanced technologies and will provide better comfort and safety to the driver and passengers. On the tech front, this gen-next pickup will hold a 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display instrument binnacle that will be a replacement to the conventional style. The entertainment side is taken care by the new 6.5-inch Capacitive Touch Screen Display cum music system, enabled with Bluetooth and navigation. Its steering wheel is also embossed with control buttons, giving the driver a better control of the car. The Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Active Traction Control (A-TRC), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and 7 airbag complete its safety front, ensuring a safe and secure ride for your family. As the new-Hilux displays increased dimensions from its previous version, it will ensure a greater leg, head and shoulder space for both the front and rear
passengers.

Toyota is offering both two wheel and four wheel drive options to the customers. Both these driving options will be accompanied by two distinct engine options, 2GD-FTV 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-four engine that will pull out 150 PS and 400 Nm featured in 4WD. Second engine option is a 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre turbocharged inline-four with a generating capacity of 177 PS and 450 Nm will house the 2WD variants. A 6-speed sequential automatic or a new 6-speed manual gearbox will partner with both the engine options.

Additional details about two trim levels was revealed by Toyota, it includes the 4x4 G MT model that will carry a Manual Transmission system (iMT), making your ride smother and jerk free. Also, the 2WD powered J variant will be available only with a 5 speed manual transmission.

To be launched with seven trim levels each dipped in six distinct colors ranging from Super White, Attitude Black, Silver Metallic, Gray Metallic, Crimson Spark Red Metallic and Orange Metallic.

Seems like Toyota is all set to take-over the next generation pickup market and with such detailing and specification it seems like a win-win situation for Toyota.
