Rolls-Royce hosts press drive for new Phantom in French Riviera

MANILA: Journalists from the world's leading luxury media outfits got a rare opportunity to see the new Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II at a spectacular event in the breathtaking French Riviera yesterday, June 6.

Phantom Rendezvous, the Global Press Drive for the new Phantom, was held at the Maybourne Riviera Hotel in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, located on the magnificent Mediterranean coast and overlooking Monaco. Guests from all over the world were able to drive and be driven in the latest version of the brand's flagship model, which was revealed last May.

Guests also had the opportunity to see two stunning Bespoke Phantoms on display at the Maybourne Riviera Hotel's lawn. The Phantom Platino, named after the silver-white luster of the coveted precious metal, platinum, reflects the brand's early days, with front seats trimmed in quality Rolls-Royce leather and rear seats covered in premium fabric. The Great British Phantom is finished in bright Magma Red and features a Bespoke artwork inspired by the Union Flag in the Gallery, a playful homage to the brand's more patriotic clients.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom holds an unrivaled position at the pinnacle of luxury. Phantom Series II features only light-touch visual and aesthetic upgrades, as requested by clients. A subtle geometric modification to the Pantheon Grille makes the "RR" Badge of Honor and Spirit of Ecstasy figure more prominent when viewed from the front. The grille is now lit, and the headlights have exquisite laser-cut bezel starlights, bringing even more surprise and excitement to the Phantom's nighttime presence.

The French Riviera has been associated with Rolls-Royce since the early 20th century, when the Côte d'Azur established itself as the preferred resort of actors, artists, musicians, and other affluent luminaries of the Belle Epoque. Sir Henry Royce built a villa called La Mimosa in the village of Le Canadel  in 1912 and he spent every winter there until his death in 1933.
