Suzuki PH Launches 2015 Celerio

MANILA: Life takes a leap and so does the auto industry in Philippines as the new Celerio has debuted at the Belleuve Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Suzuki PH President Hiroshi Suzuki said they are confident that the 2015 Celerio will set a new benchmark in its class. “You will all be amazed with the architecture of this model, particularly its best-in-class luggage capacity, superb ease and comfort in driving, and outstanding fuel efficiency. We are confident that this all-new Suzuki Celerio will set a new standard for its kind,” said Suzuki during launch.

The new Celerio is 100 mm longer, 70 mm taller, and 65 mm longer in wheelbase. Thus, the overall dimensions now read as 3600 mm X 1600 mm X 1540 mm (L X W X H) with a wheelbase of 2425 mm. With acute lines running on the side, what rests in front are more acute and precise headlights, refurbished grille, redesigned bumper, and new fog housing. The rear has grand taillights, roof mounted lip spoiler, revived bumper, third brake light, and finished 14-inch alloy wheels.

A black theme with silver trims is prominent inside the new Celerio with other comfort enhancing features such as 60:40 seat configuration, 254 litres of luggage capacity, and spacious legroom and headroom as compared to the previous model. The bunch of safety features include Suzuki's patented Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) design which integrates a lightweight impact-absorbing body using high-tensile steel, anti-lock brake system, dual airbags, and side impact beams.

Under the hood resides a K10B 1.0-litre engine which delivers 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque when mated either to a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission. The colors in which the new Celerio is available are Raspberry Pink, Snow White Pearl, Sunshine Yellow, Star Silver Metallic, Ablaze Red Pearl, Mineral Gray Metallic, Super Black Pearl, and Cerulean Blue. Talking about the prices, the 1.0-litre Manual comes for PhP 507,000 and 1.0-litre CVT for PhP 542,000.
