The Mirage G4 GLX MT is now priced less than when it debuted 7 years ago
MANILA: The exclusive distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in the country, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC), has extended its "Mitsubishi Rollback" promo that offers the dependable Mirage G4 GLX MT at a low price of P528,000, which is P10,000 less than its even introductory price seven years ago.
The Mirage G4 has become well-known to Filipinos because it demonstrates the functionality and solid design of a small sedan. Owing to its affordable price tag, it has been a top preference among first-time car buyers.
Moreover, the Mirage G4 is completely made in the Philippines, and is an entry of MMPC to the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) program to help stimulate the local economy. As of 2019, MMPC had manufactured 700,000 units of the Mirage G4.
The Mirage G4 sedan is fitted with 15-inch alloy wheels covered in 185/55 R15 tires, with the GLS variant obtaining a dark-chromed set.
The vehicle is equipped with welcome lighting function, which illuminate the room lamp and front or rear position lights for 30 seconds. This makes it more convenient to identify the vehicle in the parking lot, particularly at night.
It is also fitted with coming-home lights that keep the headlights on for 60 seconds even after the engine is turned off. This lights the pathway before anyone enters their respective homes.
The 1.2-liter gasoline engine of the Mirage G4 is fitted with the Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) system, which regulates the timing of the intake camshafts to attain maximum performance across the rpm range.
Coupled with its aerodynamic nature and lightweight body, the Mirage G4 can muster up to 23.1 km/l, which is a feature that is necessary for those who are looking to save on fuel money.
The combination of a tight turning radius and a small engine enables the Mirage G4 to be suitable for city driving.
Aside from bringing power when anyone needs it, the light steering allows the driver to maneuver with ease even in tight areas.
Regardless of its size, the Mirage G4 also features an expansive interior that can conveniently accommodate a maximum of five adults. It is ideal for the average-sized Filipino, offering sufficient legroom and headroom.
Moreover, the trunk provides 450 liters of space, which is one of the largest in its category.
The Mirage G4 features a convenient-to-use dashboard, with a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the GLSand 2-DIN Bluetooth and iPod-ready head unit for the GLX trim. The clear and well-illuminated screen is utilized as the display for GPS navigation.
The GLS variant is also one of the first mainstream vehicles in the country to have keyless entry/exit and a push-start button. Safety is enhanced via an anti-lock brake system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), along with dual airbags.
The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN-NCAP) gave the Grand Prix Award for Adult Occupancy Protection for the Mini Car category to the Mirage G4.
The Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body of Mitsubishi guarantees the safety of the driver and passengers, as this feature efficiently absorbs and distributes the impact of the crash in all directions.
