Toyota added all-new 860 Special Edition to the 86 lineup

MANILA: One of the prominent performance oriented cars from Toyota, the 86 has been recently accompanied with an all-new 860 Special Edition model. The all-new version is crafted with a special paint finish along with several other goodies. With a new styling, the 860 Special Edition is more eye-catching than the standard version of the two-door sports coupe.

The exclusive paint is termed as ‘Spernova Orange’, which gives the two-door sports coupe a striking look. Another option with Halo White color is available which is oriented towards a more conservative choice of the consumers. Apart from special paint finishing, the Special Edition 86 is also finished with black strips. Completing its overall profile are present, 17-inch alloy wheel, LED fog lights and the new aerodynamic body kit.

In the cabin, the seats, steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake lever are wrapped with orange contrast stitching. On the feature list, the 860 Special Edition gets dual-zone climate control, smart key and multimedia display. All the trims of the 860 Special Edition come with a 4.2-inch multi info display that reflects the important information of the car like power, torque curves, engine coolant, oil temperature and average fuel consumption. A G-Force meter and a built-in stopwatch are also added in the Special Edition.

Under the hood, the 860 Special Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre FA20 Boxer engine which delivers 205 PS maximum power and 211 Nm peak torque. The engine is further mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. With the automatic transmission, the power figure drops to 200 PS while the peak torque rest at 205 Nm. However, you will get paddle shifters in the automatic version. The Special Edition sports coupe is also a limited edition version as Toyota will only produce 860 units of the car.
