Toyota Ativ PH launch set on Oct. 2025

MANILA: The Ativ will have its formal reveal in the country next month, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) declared.

Such an announcement was made over its official Facebook page.  On the photo itself, TMP noted that the all-new Toyota Ativ HEV will come "this October 2025."

“Make the first move this season with your trusted brand's most affordable HEV – a smart, stylish, and dynamic electrified choice for the road ahead!” the firm stated in the caption.

Aside from that, the  company is inviting customers to visit any Toyota dealership or check their online portal as it has started accepting pre-orders for the nameplate.

A few weeks back, TMP already confirmed the model’s arrival by way of teaser posted on the aforementioned social media page.

The teaser went out days after Zigwheels Philippines reported the news abouts its upcoming debut. 

Based on the earlier teaser, we are assuming that the Ativ could be offered alongside the locally-manufactured Toyota Vios and will fill the new energy vehicle void in the local subcompact sedan arena.

Here are some details about the Toyota Yaris Ativ in the Land of Smiles.

In Thailand, the model is available in two hybrid variants namely:

• Premium
• GR Sport

Both options are powered by a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, in-line double overhead cam, 16-valve, hybrid engine with dual variable valve timing with intelligence technology (2NR-VEX); an electric motor; and a 0.76 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.

The said powertrain can provide the following numbers:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	111
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	121

Power is sent to the front wheels via an electronic-continuous variable transmission. This also allows the car to do 29.4-kilometers-per-liter fuel consumption based on a test following R101 standards.

Per Toyota Motor Thailand, the Toyota Yaris Ativ’s Premium option is packed with the following features and amenities:

• Dark chrome upper grille and metallic grey lower grille
• 16-inch alloy wheels
• 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
• Wireless charger

Meanwhile, the model’s GR Sport variation boasts:

• Newly designed front grille featuring the GR logo and a full GR-S body kit (front bumper skirt, side skirt set, rear bumper skirt and rear spoiler)
• 17-inch alloy wheels
• Black roof and power-adjustable side mirrors with LED turn signals and automatic folding
• Black synthetic leather seats with GR logo
• Specially tuned suspension and Electric Power Steering

The Toyota Yaris Ativ’s safety and driver assistive systems include:

• Toyota Safety Sense with new lane keeping control
• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Blind Spot Monitor
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert
• Panoramic View Monitor
• Front and rear parking sensors
• Digital Video Recorder
• Six airbags
