Toyota: Introduction of Marty McFly's pickup truck to the future
MANILA: In the Back To The Future trilogy: The DeLorean DMC-12 may be have stolen the show, still fans appreciate that there's an alternative cool ride in this iconic 80's movie sequel. This was the black Toyota Pickup that protagnist Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) aspired and in the end got to drive in the epilogue. The wonderful news flash is that it appears like this truck has reappeared to life in the future.
Toyota has pushed the limits with a contemporary performance of Marty's pimped-out ride. The all new Toyota Tacoma has been used by the Japanese auto giant as the base for the project.
In order to give the truck that genuine 1985 look and feel, they incorporated features such as off-road suspension with BF Goodrich tyres, custom front and rear tubular bumpers, TRD wheels, KC HiLiTES Gravity LED G46 and Daytime Gravity LEDs, a customized light bar, a tailgate with the iconic 'TOYOTA' lettering, headlamps and taillights rendered in vintage design, and 1985 Toyota truck-spec mudflaps. Identical to what was accessible in 1985, the special Tacoma is even finished on the black Toyota paint.
Yesterday i.e. 21 October, 2015: The Back To The Future Tacoma was disclosed in the U.S. That was for #backtothefuture Day, of course. The truck has been introduced by Toyota in major tourist destinations in cities like Los Angeles, New York and Dallas.
It wasn't clearly stated by Toyota that they will/will not have mass-production for the truck. However it does indicate the fans, of how they can turn their Tacoma (or Hilux) into a ride that can take them back to 1985. It might even make them go “Significant Scott!”
