Zeekr PH previews upcoming 7X

MANILA: Autohub Group, the authorized distributor of Zeekr in the Philippine market, has previewed the 7X all-electric midsize crossover.

The aforementioned was displayed during the launch of the 009 luxury multi-purpose vehicle, and while the company has yet to share the 7X’s Philippine-spec details and pricing, it looks like it could be a worthy competitor to the locally available Tesla Model Y. 

However, Zeekr’s local arm also remained mum with regard to the 7X’s local launch date. Regardless, the fact that it was previewed could mean that its formal local introduction might just be around the corner. 

To note, the Zeekr 7X was likewise previewed at this year’s Malaysia Auto Show, thus demonstrating the Chinese manufacturer’s eagerness to expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market. 

While waiting for the Zeekr 7X to arrive for the Philippine market, let’s go over the key details and features of the global version. 

Zeekr 7X: Global specs

Style-wise, the Zeekr 7X that’s currently sold in other parts of the world looks futuristic. Up front, it wears a pair of adaptive beam matrix LED headlamps, combined with a sleek and aerodynamic front fascia. The model’s side is graced by frameless doors with flush handles, while its rear is equipped with horizontal taillights, a subtle-looking rear spoiler, and a prominent diffuser. 

Its interior, meanwhile, assumes a minimalist design direction, though most surfaces were clad in soft materials such as leather. Dominating its dash is a 16-inch infotainment display, coupled with a 13.5-inch digital gauge, as well as a 36-inch augmented reality heads-up display. All of the said screens are underpinned by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chips. 

For its powertrain, the Zeekr 7X that was previewed in Malaysia uses an 800-volt electric vehicle (EV) system. At maximum, the dual motor version can generate up to 630 horsepower, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.8 seconds. 

It also boasts a maximum range of 615 kilometers (Long Range Euro version) and a direct current fast charging capability from 10-80 percent in just 13 minutes.
