Capable off-roader, refined on-road ride
On-road performance of the Ford Everest is really where the Ford Everest shines in comparison to its competition. With a 10-speed gearbox, 500nm of torque, and the 2.0L engine, it is a very good overall package. With all the extra weight, it may not be very responsive, but it is not a snail either, and when I put the foot down, it still accelerates nicely. I’ve taken the Ford Everest on plenty of long excursions, and I must say that it has proven to be an absolute pleasure to put extra miles in. It is also surprisingly capable on the off-road terrains. With a shorter wheelbase, it handles climbs quite well.
