New year, new ride: Geely Farizon V6E

Fully electric and hybrid vehicles now have a foothold in the Philippine market. No, they have not gained widespread recognition like diesel and gasoline-powered cars just yet, but a good number of these new energy vehicle (NEV) models have become more and more common on local roads. 

One brand that just entered the market is Geely Motor Philippines. Specifically, it introduced the all-electric EX-5 crossover last July 2025. On the other hand, the brand is also looking to expand its portfolio of NEVs to more than just passenger cars with the upcoming Geely Farizon V6E van - an electric-powered light commercial vehicle. 

The Geely Farizon model, which was included in Zigwheels Philippines’ list of cars we’re excited to see this 2026, has had its homologation papers already published by the Land Transport Office. 

Sure, the Chinese brand’s local arm has yet to share an exact launch date, but let’s check out its specs to see what we can expect from this upcoming electric vehicle (EV).

Geely Farizon V6E: specs, features

At a glance, the Geely Farizon V6E is a commercial-purpose van in the same vein as the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Volkswagen Transporter, which are both popular in Europe. 

On that note, the V6E comes in a boxy form factor. It does have a stubby nose section and a closed-off grille, but its body is mostly rectangular in order to optimize interior space. 

For reference, the Geely Farizon V6E has a load capacity of 1.5 tons, thanks to its high-strength steel floor and sturdy chassis structure. Even its roof can withstand a maximum pressure of 7.5 tons, according to Geely. 

In China, the Standard Cargo Version two-seater version that has no rear windows or seats, can hold up to 6,000 liters of cargo. The “Bright Window Edition” that’s equipped with seats, meanwhile, can carry up to six passengers. 

To note, all China-spec versions of the Geely Farizon V6E come with a three-door configuration. Its large side door has an opening of 540 millimeters (mm), which is ideal for loading up on large, unwieldy cargo. Further ease-of-use is ensured by its dual-door rear section.

While built for rugged work, the Geely Farizon V6E still has a set of LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, power-folding/adjust side mirrors, and a set of aerodynamic 14-inch wheels.

As expected from a commercial vehicle, the Geely Farizon V6E goes for a basic but functional interior. It does, however, a “humazined” design, which includes a total of 13 storage spaces, fabric seats, a urethane steering wheel, a digital infotainment system with physical buttons for the air conditioning system, an electronic parking brake, a digital gauge cluster, and a dial-type gear selector. 

Some of the safety gear available to the V6E includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

• Driver airbag
• Tire pressure monitoring
• Anti-lock braking
• Rear parking sensors
• Tire pressure monitoring

Moreover, the van gets an acoustic vehicle alerting system to make vulnerable road users and other motorists aware of its presence on the road. It is, after all, a fully-electric ride that’s incapable of making engine noises. And being an EV, the Geely Farizon V6E also gets a regenerative braking system. 

For propulsion, the Geely Farizon V6E depends on a single electric motor setup that can send up to 80.4 horsepower to its front wheels. The said motor is linked to a lithium-iron phosphate battery that can provide the vehicle with a top-speed of 100 kilometers per hour and a range of up to 265 kilometers.

According to Geely, the Farizon V6E comes with a fast-charging function that is able to increase its state-of-charge from 20-80 percent in just 50 minutes. 

Final thoughts

As mentioned above, the buyers within the passenger car market in the Philippines have already begun to enjoy the benefits of electric vehicles and hybrids. No, it isn’t the biggest segment yet, but the growth is there. 

With the potential entry of the Geely Farizon V6E to the Philippines in 2026, however, it looks like more and more brands are getting into the EV commercial vehicle space. The aforementioned is an exciting prospect, so let’s wait for more updates from Geely Motor Philippines on this upcoming all-electric van.
