Toyota Vios improvements that might benefit passengers

We all wish to see an improved Vios, don’t we? The Toyota Vios has been a money-spinner for the automaker. It is that point of its existence when you don’t really need a marketing campaign to be hosted rather a few banners, hoardings or fliers would do it for you.

However, it doesn’t go that way, right? No matter how good your product is or how high the standards your company boasts, marketing remains a necessity. And with its launch not very far, Toyota is gearing up in a full-fledged fashion. Rightly, so!

We all are excited to see the new 2019 Toyota Vios, be it families, transport fleet owners or individual cab drivers. The Vios has been a car for all ages and occasions. It has always been roomy, spacious, practical, and economical. No wonder why Filipinos are eagerly looking forward to it.

Despite being such an amiable vehicle for people not only in the Philippines but across boundaries, there are certain aspects that could be bettered. With its launch around the corner, we pen down our expectations as passengers in this 4-min read.

Better-quality climate control

With the temperature rising up to 30°C during summers, life becomes tough for daily commuters especially for the ones sitting on that back seat of the Vios. The cooling at back is not as good as you’d like or what’s offered by other premium brands like Honda and Nissan. Although Toyota isn't known for its powerful air conditioners, it's one of the factors that trouble their loyal clientele and hence asks for attention. Toyota clearly needs to upgrade Vios’s A/C and make it stronger than on the current model.

Improved rear footwell

Another thing that bugs many if not all, the crunched rear footwell. It is not very comfortable for tall people and who have big feet. It, at times, discomforts you while you try to get off quickly. An addition of a few inches or a minor tweak to its design could save the day for a lot of people who easily get tripped while getting off.

Cabin lighting

The only cabin light in the Vios is in front. So, as a rear passenger, you have to switch on the flashlight of your smartphone to check if anything is left behind every time you take a Vios cab ride. It’s not just about the cab rides but when you travel with your family and kids take the back seat. They often drop things down which are certainly difficult to locate without a rear cabin light. However, this time with the new Vios we are looking forward to this inclusion.

More robust seats

Anything that’s overused or used on a daily basis will eventually show signs of wear and tear, but in the case of Vios, deterioration starts at an early stage. Not many car models see their back seats getting detached from the backrest. However, being used as a daily commuting vehicle, as cabs, sitting count is already on the higher side for Toyota vehicles especially the Vios. The company should consider fitting them in a different or you can say in a better fashion so that they last longer.
