2019 Ford Everest with a new powerful engine and superior looks

MANILA: Ford has released details of the new 2019 Everest off-roader ahead of its arrival in the fourth quarter of this year. Similar to the 2019 Ford Ranger, the 2019 Ford Everest will have a choice of diesel engines in its new model. The highlight is a new 2-litre turbo-four sources from the flagship Ranger raptor.

Ford is back in the race for the best pickup-SUV, and with a bang, Ford Australia has unveiled the updated Everest and has announced its specifications as well. A few of the upgradations include tweaks to the exterior of the car and improvements in the hardware.

Most importantly, the new Everest is marked by the availability of a new 2.0-litre EcBlue turbo diesel engine similar to the Ranger Raptor, making 213 PS of power and 500Nm of torque – the latter available from 1750rpm. This new model comes as standard with a new 10-speed automatic transmission, which is claimed to improve driveability, smoothness, and cabin refinement both on- and off-road. Fuel use is rated at 14.7 kmpl on the combined cycle (Trend RWD).

While the Everest will be powered by Eco blue and use the 10-speed automatic transmission, the entry-level Trend and Ambiente variants will continue using the 3.2-litre five-cylinder engine. The base and middle models will have a rear-wheel drive standard with permanent 4WD as a choice.

Compared to the upgrades in the engine that are boast-worthy, the changes in the interior are subtle. There is a new garnish for the fog light surrounds coupled with a lower air intake. Another new addition is the grill. The Trend trim gets the same wheels, whereas the Titanium variant enjoys a new 20-inch alloy wheel.

Unfortunately, Ford Australia has not revealed any official pictures which has put all automobile enthusiasts in the Philippines in despair. There are speculations that more details will be launched towards the end of this year.
