2025 Toyota GR Yaris now available in PH

MANILA: After being teased over social media recently, the new GR Yaris is now available in the local market.

The latest iteration of the hatchback from Toyota Motor Philippines — which is available in manual and automatic transmission options — can now be purchased starting today.

Aside from that, the new Toyota GR Yaris will also be displayed at the first race weekend of the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup slated March 22 at the Clark International Speedway.

Here’s what customers will get from refreshed iteration.

Exterior

Based on the spec sheet, the 2025 Toyota GR Yaris maintained its predecessor’s measurements:

However, TMP shared the spruced-up version features bolder and more aerodynamic exterior design that highlight its rally-bred heritage.

It features LED illumination (three-tiered manual leveling headlights, daytime running lamps, and rear combination lamps), and 18-inch aluminum-forged wheels wrapped in 225/40 tires, and a rear spoiler.

Further, it comes in four color options namely Super White, Emotional Red, Precious Black, and Precious Metal.

Interior

The new Toyota GR Yaris also comes with improved amenities that come in the form of:

• 12.3-inch thin film transistor cluster gauge with tire pressure monitor
• Seven-inch display audio with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity
• Synthetic Leather/Suede seats

Powertrain

Toyota’s well-loved hatchback is powered by a tweaked three-cylinder, in-line, double overhead cam, four valve Roller-Rocker 1.6-liter engine (G16E-GTS) engine that can dish out:

The mill adopted an upgraded drive mode select, a new sub radiator and intercooler spray to increase the car’s overall performance.

As mentioned earlier in the article, the new Toyota GR Yaris comes in two transmission options:

• Six-speed manual
• Eight-speed direct shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters

Technologies

Further, the newly-revealed model is packed with additional features such as:

• Back monitor
• Intelligent clearance sonar,
• Improved Toyota Safety Sense package with blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert

Additionally, the car’s AT variant comes with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control while the MT trim has adaptive cruise control.
