MANILA: BYD Cars Philippines has teamed up with Sunshine Events for the upcoming Ironman 70.3 Davao.

It will be held in Mindanao.The ACMobility-led electric car brand held a ceremonial signing event at its dealership in Manila Bay, where BYD Cars Philippines also unveiled its triathlon teams.
Representing the Chinese carmaker’s local wing are Nico Bolzico, Alden Richards, and Wil Dasovich. The said celebrities will compete in the Run, Bike, and Swim categories, respectively. They will be joined by athletes Jennifer Uy (Run), Jens Jacobsen (Bike), and Olympian Jasmine Alkhaldi (Swim).
Per BYD Cars Philippines, the said partnership is driven by the shared belief that true performance is earned through intelligence, discipline, and innovation. And as one of the leaders in global new energy vehicles, the company sees a direct parallel between the world’s most respected endurance race and its own engineering philosophy.

BYD Tech Tour: Ironman Edition
BYD Cars Philippines will also stage the BYD Tech Tour: Ironman Edition, which looks to bring the brand’s popular electrified technologies directly to the athletes and fans.
To be showcased at the said roadshow display is the BYD Shark 6 DMO, wearing special Ironman-themed livery. The pickup truck looks to combine ruggedness and clean electric power and appeal to the high-value triathlon community, as well as accelerate electric vehicle adoption in Mindanao.
