Ford issues ‘Do Not Drive’ advisory on select Bronco models over faulty suspension assembly woes

MANILA: Ford is advising owners of Ford Bronco units to stop driving their vehicles immediately over suspension-related concerns that could result in crashes.

Per Ford, the warning was issued due to a serious safety issue where the front lower control arm ball joints may have been incorrectly assembled. “If a joint fails while the vehicle is moving, the driver could lose steering control increasing the risk of a crash,” Ford explained.
According to the American automaker, it is currently providing customers with complimentary towing of their vehicles for inspection and repair as needed. “Customers will also be provided the option to have their vehicle inspected by dealership personnel at the customer’s location via mobile service where applicable,” Ford noted.

‘Ford PH not affected’
Relatedly, Ford Philippines said that no model in the local market is affected by the newest recall order since the company is not selling this specific trim.
