Ford PH unveils Mustang Mach-E

MANILA: Ford Philippines has rolled out the all-new Mustang Mach-E after it was hinted at by Ford Philippines Managing Director Pedro Simoes back in June 2025.

The aforementioned nameplate debuted locally alongside the Territory Hybrid, thus forming the Blue Oval’s initial electrified thrust in the local automotive market. 

For the unaware, the said model is the first-ever electric vehicle under the Mustang nameplate. Unlike the internal combustion Mustang, however, the Mustang Mach-E comes in the form of a five-seater crossover that is touted to combine practicality and performance. 

“The Mustang Mach-E is one of the most exciting vehicles Ford has ever introduced,” Simoes said. 

“This purpose-built all-electric vehicle is unique, unmistakably a Mustang, and with a leading-edge driving range coming at exactly the right time for the growing Mustang enthusiast community in the country. 

So, what can prospective adopters of the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E expect?

Exterior

Style-wise, the Mustang Mach-E boasts plenty of design details that serve as a nod to the original vehicle it was based on. Specifically, its front fascia bears the same aggressive quadrilateral grille design of the internal combustion model, albeit with active grilles that will close up when it needs better aerodynamics. The aforementioned are paired with a pair of LED clusters that look strikingly similar to the brand’s pony car.

The rest of the model, however, was clearly optimized for both comfort and usability. For starters, it comes with an elegant roofline with a relatively generous greenhouse. Its rear section, on the other hand, comes with a fastback shape complemented by tri-bar LED taillamps.

Other notable exterior equipment of the all-electric vehicle includes the following: 

• Panoramic sunroof
• Button-activated doors
• Power-folding heated side mirrors
• Rain-sensing wipers
• Power tailgate

Size-wise, the model is 4,713 millimeters (mm) long, 1,881 mm wide, and 1,627 mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,984 mm. 

Interior

Inside, the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E was provided by the American carmaker with a minimalist-looking cockpit. Dominating its mostly straight and flat dash is a 15.5-inch Sync 4A infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

Over towards the driver's side is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a tilt and telescopic steering column, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. 

Everyone inside the model is kept cool by a dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system. Many interior surfaces of the electric crossover are clad in soft-touch surfaces, while all of its seats are wrapped in ActiveX perforated leather. 

Other noteworthy interior amenities available to the Ford Mustang Mach-E include the following: 

• 10-way power-adjust front seats
• 60:40 split-folding rear seats 
• Front and rear center armrests
• Wireless smartphone charging pad
• Bang and Olufsen sound system with subwoofers
• Electronic parking brake

Safety

The basic safety kit of the Ford Mustang Mach-E includes nine airbags, anti-lock braking, electronic stability program, traction control, front and rear parking sensors, and a tire inflator kit - among others. 

Apart from the safety equipment mentioned above, the all-electric crossover also comes with the following advanced driver-assist systems: 

• 360-degree view camera
• Adaptive cruise control
• Collision mitigation system
• Lane keeping system
• Blind spot information system
• Driver impairment monitor
• Rear-cross traffic alert
• Reverse brake assist

Powertrain

Propelling the all-new Ford Mustang Mach-E are two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) capable of producing up to 388 horsepower (hp) and 676 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. It likewise boasts a cruising range of 550 kilometers (km), according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). 

For charging, the model comes with a Type 2 alternating current (AC) port and a CCS2 direct current (DC) port. The latter is capable of up to 150 kilowatts (kW). The Ford-made EV also has regenerative braking and three drive modes consisting of Whisper (smooth driving and slippery conditions), Engage (Everyday driving), and Unbridle (sporty driving).

Price

As of its introduction, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has a suggested retail price of P3.499 million. It is available in Glacier Gray, Star White, Shadow Black, Velocity Blue, and Grabber Yellow. Notably, the model also comes packaged with an eight-year battery warranty and a three-year vehicle warranty.
