Honda car owners better visit the nearest service centre now
MANILA: Some time ago, October 2018 to be specific, Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) issued a recall notice. Wherein it asked customers to take their cars to their nearest service centre for the Takata airbag inflator replacement.
Moreover, the recall included Honda Accord, Civic, CR-V, City, and Jazz manufactured from the early 2000s till the year 2014. The aforementioned Honda cars are said to be carrying a faulty airbag inflator manufactured by Takata and may cause serious injuries or even death while deploying.
To be sure if your vehicle needs its airbag inflator replaced, the likes of the Honda Civic (2001 – 2011), Accord (2003 – 2013), City (2003 – 2014), CR-V (2001 – 2013), and the Jazz (2004 – 2014) are a part of the recall. Also, Honda Pilot units manufactured from 2006 to 2008 and 2012 to 2015 are recalled for the replacement as well.
There is no need to worry about the cost of replacing the airbag inflator as Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) has announced that the automaker will bear the replacement.
